New Offerings with Science with Laura

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new Integrated History & Literature course for the 2025-2026 school year!

This immersive class will explore major world events from 1650–1800, bringing history to life through biographies, classic literature, poetry, art, and music from the era. Students will engage in meaningful discussions, book studies, poetry recitation, and presentations on influential figures who shaped the modern world.

Course Highlights:

• Study carefully selected core texts (which include our core text, George Washington's World, the Scarlet Letter, Pride and Prejudice, Frankenstein, A Tale of Two Cities, Robinson Crusoe, the Red Palace and others). 

• Do activities from the time period we are studying including: leather working, lettering, surveying, and book binding.
   
• Explore world history through personal stories, poems, paintings, and music.
   
• Participate in book discussions as a class.
   
• Research and present on famous people from history.
   
• Gain a deeper, integrated understanding of how literature, history, and the arts intersect.
   

Open to students ages 14–18, but we are sincerely seeking those with a strong desire to memorize, read, write, and dive deeper into the world’s history than ever before.
