Science with Laura Courses 2026-2027

Middle School Biology

  • Taught in person on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:30 pm
  • Ages 12-15 (Admission for students as young as 11 is based on math and reading readiness, with priority given to older students).
  • Includes discussion, games, art, student presentations, and experiments
  • Students must be able to focus in a group setting and read at at least a sixth grade level.
  • Price is $500 for the year's tuition and a supply fee of $150 for the year, with a total of $650 for the school year. 
  • NOTE: Supply fees are considered deposits for the course and become non-refundable after July 5, when supplies are ordered for all students. 
  • This supply fee covers all lab supplies and art materials.
  • Class fees do not include student textbooks. 
  • Field trips are NOT covered by tuition or supply fees and are optional. 

Upper Elementary Biology

  • Taught in person on Wednesdays from 1:00-2:30 pm 
  • Ages 7-12 (Essentially 3rd-7th grade)
  • Includes discussion, stories, games, student presentations, art, and experiments
  • Students must be able to focus in a group setting, follow directions, and it is helpful if they can read at at least a fourth-fifth grade level
  • Price is $500 for the year's tuition and a supply fee $150 for a total of $650 for the school year 
  • NOTE: Supply fees are considered deposits for the course and become non-refundable after July 5, when supplies are ordered for all students. 
  • This supply fee covers all lab supplies and art materials.
  • Class fees do not include student textbooks.

High School Biology and Lab

  • Taught in person on Thursdays from 1:00-3:00pm
  • Ages 14-18 (9th-12th grade)
  • This course is perfect for any student who wants to be challenged in science. As such, those who take this class must commit to study and prepare for classes. 
  • Class includes professional lab materials, lab microscopes, discussions, review games, student presentations, and more. 
  • Math: Algebra I is a prerequisite.
  • Price is $800 with a $200 lab supply fee with a total of $1000 for the year (this can be broken down into $100/month).
  • NOTE: Supply fees are considered deposits for the course and become non-refundable after July 5, when supplies are ordered for all students. 
  • Note: the lab supply fee for this course is higher due to the expensive equipment and supplies necessary to do a full biology lab and class. 
  • Class fees do not include student textbooks. 
  • Field trips are NOT covered by tuition or supply fees and are optional.

  • We are approved as a vendor for: Carson Scholarship, UFA, Harmony, and OpenEd
  • There are a few different scholarship opportunities to help families and students take these courses. Please reach out directly about those opportunities.
